Biography in Brief
My name is Rabbi Chavah Carp. I am now in my next stage of re-purposing my life. For the past ten years I was blessed with working with elementary age children at Solomon Schecther Jewish Day School, and now I am called upon to open a Beit Midrash- a House of Learning for all ages. From 1980 to 1998 I was the Spiritual Leader of Bnai Shalom Havurah in Taos, New Mexico, and from those wonderful adventures a book is being born.
Currently I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with husband Ralph, our four canaries, five turtles and a healthy vegetable garden which feeds us through the winter. In another incarnation I was taught how to can and preserve my food. There is nothing better than reaching into your own pantry and continue the harvest through the winter months.
Now I am creating quilts for the home, wall hangings, Judaic Art Quilts and teaching classes and leading retreats in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If you are interested in this go to http://www.coffeehouserabbi.com
